Description

When someone thinks of activism, they usually think that this revolves around protest marches, throwing things at police and demonstrating. Carer activism can involve these things (except for throwing stones), but such activism does not need to be such strong actions.

As of this course development, unpaid carers still suffer from challenges and struggles to the role they face. So there is plenty of room for activism. Activism can be as little as telling your story or as big as developing a movement.

This is the 4th online course aimed at carers, which is designed by Matthew McKenzie fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Matthew McKenzie is known as a carer activist and hopes the knowlege he shares can lead to other carer activists.
